Connect the SmartRoom app to Google Calendar, Office 365, or 25Live easily to display your office's or classroom's availability and booking calendar.

You can also take your app one step further by choosing to display the app in Interactive Mode. 

With Google Calendar or Office 365, you can use Interactive Mode to provide a Claim Room button. The Claim Room button allows you to book the room for a selected time slot.

With 25Live, you can use Interactive Mode to view a Detailed Schedule. This allows for you to display additional calendar details such as registered attendees and expected attendance to upcoming talks, class room discussions, and boardroom meetings.

Syncing the SmartRoom App with Google Calendar 

To sync your SmartRoom App with your Google Calendar account, start by logging into your TelemetryTV account. 

From the Apps page of the TelemetryTV interface, click "Create" to search for the SmartRoom app.

Select the SmartRoom app to customize and configure your app's display. 

Label your app and select the calendar provider as Google. 

You can choose to enable Interactive Mode.  

If Interactive Mode is selected, you will be able to view the Claim Room button. 

Once you've finished setting up your SmartRoom App, click "Add App". 

From here you will be prompted to sign into your Google account to sync our SmartRoom App with Google. 

To publish, click "Create". 

Once connected,  you can preview your app or update your app's configuration settings.

Syncing the SmartRoom app to Office 365


For avid Microsoft Office users, you can sync your SmartRoom app with your Office 365 account display your calendar. 

To do this, you'll follow much of the same steps as noted above:

Search for the SmartRoom app from our selection of apps. 

Label your app and select Office 365 as your calendar provider.

From here you will be prompted to sign into your Office 365 account to authorize access from your Office 365 account to TelemetryTV.

Once connected,  you can preview your app or update your app's configuration settings. 

When you're done, click on "Create" to publish.

Syncing your SmartRoom app to 25Live 

Classrooms around the world rely on 25Live to provide their staff and students live events and classroom scheduling in real-time. 

To sync your school's digital displays to 25Live using the SmartRoom app, use the easy-to-follow steps below. 

Search for the SmartRoom app from our selection of apps. 

Label your app and select 25Live your calendar provider. 

You'll need to include your school's 25Live RSS Feed URL, into the RSS URL field.

Next, click on "Create" to connect your 25Live account to the SmartRoom app. 

Once connected,  you can preview your app or update your app's configuration settings.

When you're done, click on "Save" to publish.

Setting up Devices to display your SmartRoom app

Our SmartRoom app is designed to automatically detect the device name to use as the Calendar resource directly in your calendar's system.

To successfully use the app, your devices will require a similar name as your bookable calendar resource. 

Here's an example what we mean: if you have a calendar resource named 'Conference Room',  the device that will display your calendar should also be labeled as 'Conference Room'.

Interactivity

The SmartRoom App can provide as much, or as little, interactivity as you'd like. 

By choosing the Interactive Mode, you are able to use a touchscreen device to claim a room as well as optionally view additional details on the room's upcoming status.

When running in Interactive mode, we recommend using a touchscreen device such as the Chromebase Mini

This device can be mounted outside of your meeting room for a clear display on the room's calendar and status.
