Overview

TelemetryTV allows you to group your media player devices (displays) using a feature called organizations.

Organizations allow you to group and structure your media player devices in a branched and hierarchical format.  There are no limits to how many sub organizations you can create off the parent organization.

Why use organizations?

Grouping your media player devices becomes useful for several reasons.

  1.  It allows you to organize your devices according to your own taxonomy (ex. location, building, business unit, etc) which makes display and content management easier.

  2. You can distribute playlists faster by filtering devices by organizations in the device management interface and then apply a playlist to a batch of devices using the command + shift (series of devices) or command + ctrl short keys (selection of devices).

3. You can toggle permissions in the user groups interface so user groups can only access select device organizations.

4. You can quickly distribute screen overrides to select devices organizations.

How to create Organizations

You can create an organization manually or if you're using Google's Chrome OS devices, you can sync your Chrome Device Management (CDM) account with TelemetryTV.

Manual
Go to the Device Management interface in TelemetryTV and select the device drop down menu and click 'Add a Sub Organization'

How to sync your account with Google's Chrome Device Management layer.

Go to the Device Management interface in TelemetryTV and select the device drop down menu and click 'Use Google CDM'
