How to provision your TelemetryOS device using a USB stick and your provisioning token

Provisioning your TelemetryOS device using a USB stick is a straightforward process that ensures seamless setup. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Download the Provisioning File

  1. Log in to your TelemetryTV account.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Provisioning Tokens.

  3. Locate the Default provisioning section.

  4. Click the download icon (not the USB button) next to Default provisioning. This will download the provisioning file to your computer. Rename the downloaded file to "telemetry_config.json".

Note: If needed, you can add new provisioning tokens to tailor device setups, but we recommend starting with the Default provisioning and adjusting playlists later for simplicity.

Step 2: Prepare the USB Stick

  1. Format a USB storage stick.

  2. Copy the previously downloaded "telemetry_config.json" file onto the USB stick.

Step 3: Provisioning the TelemetryOS Device

  1. Power on your TelemetryOS device.

  2. At the network configuration screen, insert the USB stick containing the "telemetry_config.json" file.

  3. Click the blue "Done" button located in the top right corner of the screen.

That's it! Your TelemetryOS device will now be provisioned using the settings defined in the "telemetry_config.json" file on your USB stick.
